Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test
Haryana, the state which has the worst sex ratio in the country has a reason to rejoice. The number of women aspirants who applied for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET 2014-15) is more than double that of the number of men who applied.
The examination is conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education. It has received a total of 4,58,514 applications, out of which 3,09,037 applications are from female candidates. These candidates are set to appear for the exam on November 14 and 15, a spokesperson of the Board said in Chandigarh.
Haryana has recorded the worst child ratio among all states in the country. Out of the 100 worst districts in India for sex ratio, 12 districts come under The state It also accounts for the worst sex ratio all over India, with only 879 females per 1,000 males.
Further, the spokesman said that the board will take strict steps in order to ensure smooth conduct of the examination and to effectively check the use of unfair means.
He said that, "Mobile jammers would be used at the examination centres to prevent the use of mobile phones for cheating. Bio-metric machines would be used to prevent impersonation cases. Videography would be done at all examination centres."
